I haven't been able to go more than a block from my house all weekend (20 inches of snow in less than 24 hours followed by a high of 3 degrees. . . before you factor in the 20 mph winds? Yeah, I'm staying indoors), but I have not idea what I've been doing with my time. Or how it's already Sunday afternoon. Wasn't it just Friday night?

Also, I'm kind of bummed that the gigantic snowstorm of doom had to happen on the weekend-I would have liked to have my first ever snow day from work. Because I'm still 12.

The Merlin/Arthur interactions in the second half of the season have been EXCELLENT. I mean, there have been really good ones elsewhere in this series, but I streamlined the last four episodes last week and there were just so many stupid adorable moments that reminded me why I love this show over and over, I felt utterly spoiled.
Especially Arthur/Old man!Merlin. It was just so adorable, and it's continued on in this episode.

Evil!Morgana just makes me sad for the Evil!Morgana that could have been. One that remembered why she was so evil.

Gwen! Super spy! (or at least middling spy! ) Smithing! Being better at lying than Merlin is, at least!

I really liked the callbacks to older episodes-excalibur, Freya, the Fischer King. It looks a little like. . . continuity.

I like how Merlin always has to coerce the slash dragon into doing anything for him-if you loved me, you'd take me to the lake. Oh, if you don't help me, the world will end. I feel like I need to put them in couples therapy.

I was definitely not the only one hoping that Leon wasn't wearing pants under that dress. Also-Leon in a dress, \O/!

Lancelot! Lancelot and GWAINE interactions! There need to be more of them. They can get drunk and discuss the merits of nobility vs. being a peasant and be good looking and in love with everyone together.

The knighting ceremony! It was adorable, but I kept on waiting for Percival to say something along the lines of 'I just met you two scenes ago, but you seem like a cool dude, okay'. Or vice versa. And again, with the adorable Merlin/Arthur interactions.

Merlin has a friend that knows about his magic! And might be around for more than one episode next season! And is willing to help him with his crazy plots! I mean, I kind of wish it was Gwen or Arthur, but I'll also take Lancelot.

Aww, Lancelot, you should totally make out with Merlin or Gwaine instead. Both would totally take you. Or maybe just suggest a threesome. With Merlin and Gwaine or Arthur and Gwen, either way.

I'm stuck imagining Morgana dragging Morgause's body all around the countryside-treating her as if she were still alive, having tea parties, deep conversations late a night around the campfire. If her partner is a little unresponsive, Morgana was never the best at noticing anyone else around her anyway.

EVERYONE GETS A HORSE! IT MUST BE A HAPPY ENDING!

I can't wait until next season! Maybe Arthur will finally find out about Merlin's magic!

Reaction to the first episode of Misfits:

Boyfriend:  So, this show is all about what the Tomorrow People would have been like if they were all douches?
Me:  Pretty much.
Boyfriend:  Awesome.

Walking Dead 1x06

Well, that was . . . anticlimactic.  I mean, blowing up buildings is cool and all, but I was stuck left wondering how they were going to get out of Atlanta the second time (wouldn't all the zombies head toward the big boom?).  And where Merle was.  I kind of wish that they'd spent more time in the CDC, explored more possibilities with it.  All the CDC seemed to do was answer questions that didn't need to be answered, then blow itself up.  A very pretty explosion, but still.

How to tell you're in a apocalyptic setting: Warm showers bring one heartwarming montages.

Wasn't a fan of Shane trying to rape Lori, either-IMO, Shane works a lot better when he's more sympathetic, right up to the moment where he actually snaps.  It'll be interesting to see what happens with these guys next season, though.

PS:  Am listening to this, think you should all know.

Also this. Oh God, it's Sophomore year of college all over again.  Warning:  highly catchy.

HAHAHA oh my god DDD: omggg this is such a crazy idea, I love itttt. oh distraught crazy morgana! sad and yet, just absurd.

Evil!Morgana just makes me sad for the Evil!Morgana that could have been. One that remembered why she was so evil.

I've been feeling this way the whole season. This evil morgana is all smirks and shallow vengeance and ambition - there were a few flashes of really feeling hurt by Uther. But mostly she's toootally shallow and almost ditzy and I remember when fandom imagined her having reasons and rationalizations and moral ambiguity for her. that was nice.

Distraught Crazy Morgana is pretty much canon anyway. I'm sure that will be the first episode of season four, right after Arthur finds out about Merlin's magic.

I think everyone wants snow days off work, regardless of age. But yes, I hope the snow hits your place during this upcoming week. Or if not, that the snow dies down overall. XD

Evil!Morgana makes me all ._____., esp since I think they did a bit of a hack job showing her development there (aka none at all). And Morgana and dead Morgause... lol. omnomnom

I think I've had all the snow I can take for a while :D.

The thing is that they did show the development-they gave Morgana all of these reasons to be evil (magic, the father thing, her streak of self-righteousness and willingness to use force to get her way. . .) and then forgot all about them in favor of evil smirks and her wanting to be king. (why does she want to be king?)

But yeah, I really like the idea of Morgana and Dead Morgause. It's kind of like Calvin and Hobbes, only instead of an adorable stuffed tiger, it's a corpse.

Thing is, I think the reasons are valid, but in the yearskip I felt like the show didn't show it well enough. I'd guess she wants to be king just as a in-your-face to Uther, but idk.

OMG I WANT THIS SOOO BADLY. :DDD

Didn't read your Merlin stuff because I've seen NONE of S3 (and latter S2). But I will! Maybe during the holidays, I'll catch up.

You must must must tell me what you think of Misfits. Me? I LOVE IT TOO MUCH. TOO MUCH.

Walking Dead... yeah, I can see the whole anticlimactic thing. Didn't really have any expectations though and I actually like the quiet moments of this show, so I was okay for the most part. Just waiting for Rick to find out about Shane/Lori. That will be MUCHOS fun to watch.

I liked season three a lot better than season two, if that helps influence your decision any.

I've only seen one episode of misfits, but I liked it-it's cute and funny and kind of messed up. Though I need subtitles for Kelly.

I like the quiet moments, too-but I kind of feel like the CDC was wasted, and I liked that Rick et all were kind of clueless about the outside world-it made the setting feel a lot more isolated that way. And I'm still wondering how the hell they'll get out of Atlanta again.
