Hi! It's been a while and there is a lot I would like to write about, but for now I think we should post kennings for everyday objects in the comments.

I'll start off with a few examples:

Cubicle=beige-house.
Coffee mug= alert-vessel
Staple remover=unbinding teeth
Staple= wire-bind

kennings- poetic compound phrases found in Old English verse that take the place of a simple noun. A ship becomes a waves-steed, for instance. Or my cubicle becomes a beige-house.
